在微观家庭的消费升级中,时间和金钱是重要的决定因素,两者均与工作忙碌程度相关。工作忙碌既可减少闲暇时间,使得工作对消费产生替代效应,制约消费升级;又可能增加收入,产生消费的经济基础优势,表现为互补效应,促进消费升级。但受制于加总谬误等相关因素,以往研究尚未对上述净效应给出经验证据。本文以文体休闲为消费升级的代表,分析现阶段中国家庭工作忙碌程度对消费升级的净效应。研究发现:替代效应占据主导作用,经济基础优势弱于时间分配冲突,工作忙碌程度制约了消费升级。原因一是宏观上,我国经济发展水平变高,使得工作忙碌对闲暇时间的替代效应增强;二是微观上,家庭年龄结构老龄化增加,消费受阻。由此建议,制定消费升级政策时,应考虑工作忙碌程度,尤其要增加中高收入人群的闲暇时间并关注家庭老龄化的消费约束。
Abstract:In the consumption upgrade of the micro-family, time and money are impo rtantdeterminants, both of which are relatedto the degree of busyness in work. Busy workcan not only reduce leisure time, make work have a substitution effect on consumpt ion, restrict consumption upgrade, but also increase income and generate econ omicbase advantage for consumption, which ismanifested as a complementary effect andpromote consumption upgrade. However, subject to related factors such as the aggregate f alla cy, previous studies have not yet given empirical evidence for the above-me ntionedneteffect. This paper takes recreation, sports, and leisure as a representative ofcon sum ption upgrade, and analyzes the net effect of the busyness in family work in Chinaatthe current stage. The study found that the substitution effect occupies the lead ing role, the economic base advantage is weaker than the time allocation conflict, and the degree of busyness in work restricts consumption upgrade. The first reason is that at themacro level, the higher level of China's economic development has increased the substitution effect of busy work on leisure time. The second is that at the micro level, the age struc ture of the family has increased, which hinders consumption motivation. This suggest sthat when formulating a consumption upgrade policy, we should consider the degr eeof busyness in work, especially increasing the leisure time of high-income groups andpaying attention to the consumption constraints of the aging process.
