国际贸易与语言服务企业绩效International Trade and the Performance of Language Service Firms

摘要(Abstract):
本文基于手动搜集的2004—2017年全球前100大语言服务企业数据,实证检验了国际贸易对语言服务企业绩效的影响。面板回归分析表明,国际贸易的增长显著提升了语言服务企业的经营绩效,并且相对于进口和货物贸易,出口和服务贸易对语言服务企业经营绩效的促进作用更大。这一促进作用与语言距离正相关,即一国与其贸易伙伴的平均语言距离越远,国际贸易对语言服务企业的促进作用越强。基准结果在不同维度的稳健性分析中保持稳健,并且不受内生性问题的影响。本文的研究表明,国际贸易不但影响贸易企业,而且对非贸易企业具有溢出效应。

- (5)常用的经营绩效指标还有总/净资产收益率等,但由于缺乏数据,所以本文只使用了数据可得的营业收入增长率。
- (6)使用2004年的贸易数据来计算权重的原因是为了减轻内生性问题;改用样本期的平均贸易额来计算权重并不影响结果。
- (7)构造本文的工具变量需要两个国家之间的海运距离,因此IV-2SLS回归样本只包含岛国和沿海国家,内陆国家被排除在外;这是该工具变量的一个不足之处。
